Equipping young people to truly thrive.

About Thrive

Every year, thousands of young people across the West Midlands leave school academically prepared but personally unprepared. They know how to sit an exam but not how to budget, manage anxiety, write a professional email, rent a flat or navigate the world of work. Thrive exists to close that gap. We are a West Midlands charity in development, dedicated to equipping young people aged 15 to 19 with the practical life skills they need to successfully transition from school into university, college or work. Our free programme covers everything from financial literacy and independent living to confidence building, communication skills and career planning – the things school never quite got around to teaching.

What We Do

Thrive delivers free, practical life skills workshops for young people at the moment they need them most – the transition from school. Our programme covers six core areas: financial literacy, confidence and resilience, communication and professional skills, independent living, goal setting and career pathways, and mentoring. Every session is designed to be honest, relatable and immediately useful – the kind of knowledge that changes how young people see themselves and what they believe is possible.

Get Involved

Thrive is currently in development and we are actively seeking schools, colleges and youth organisations to partner with us on our pilot programme. If you work with young people in the West Midlands and believe in what we are building, we would love to hear from you. We are also looking for funders, mentors and supporters who share our vision. Together we can make sure that no young person in the West Midlands steps into adult life without the tools they need to truly thrive.
